For the last decade, I’ve had the pleasure of branding and marketing the Life is Living Festival.
Life is Living is an eco-equity, interdisciplinary event that centers neighborhoods and communities that are historically underserved, and is produced in public spaces that have been otherwise neglected. Rooted in a decade-long interdisciplinary collaboration, Life is Living becomes a catalyst for larger discussions; environmental racism, social ecology and social responsibility in an era of tremendous change (climate and otherwise). The result is 6,000 intergenerational attendees representing the vibrancy and life of Oakland; an acclaimed celebration of resistance, love and the art that brings us together.
